One of the problems young or fledgling writer’s just starting out have is getting people to read their work .
Several of the kids in my homeschool groups (and by kids I mean pretty much anyone younger than me! ) are involved in all kinds of writing. My best friend’s son has written countless Simpson episodes. My daughter has a penchant for poetry- and in the last year she has evolved into a quasi- Slam style of writing. Another friend of mine is a published writer – a columnist in a popular homeschool magazine and she writes wonderful short stories and is always looking for input.
Many writers starting belong to online writers circle : A community forum where you can go and be among other writer’s, share and read other’s work- and get valuable insight into your own. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. Have a tricky grammar question? Post in in the forum. You can share your screenplay, poem, fiction , novel ideas and more. Just another wonderful Internet resource for homeschool families.
