Randy Rausch “Last Lecture” – Really Achieving Your Childhood Dreams
Randy Pausch delivered his “Last Public Lecture”, entitled “Really Achieving Your Childhood Dreams”, at Carnegie Mellon University on September 18, 2007.
Randy was diagnosed with terminal cancer and doctors expect him to live another 3-6 months. He is professor of Computer Science at CMU as well as author of many books and articles. He is also founder of the Alice software project (an open source educational programming language) .
The lecture is really a must see/read/listen for a unschooling parent (or child) . The lecture is about over coming your obstacles and realizing your dream. It is filled with humour, intelligence and warmth and wholly encompasses what unschooling is about. I cannot say enough about it. Take some time today and listen/read or watch this lecture.
