Its the time of year where I need to drop hints to my husband and set him up for success on Mother’s Day. I am usually pretty happy with home made card from the kids and maybe some dry toast and cold tea in bed :-)
My husband and I don’t really exchange gifts we find a way to work in what we need into a holiday- so new tires for car become a Father’s Day gift. New fridge for my birthday, etc. We are in DESPERATE need of a camera. We have a fancy digital SLR that my husband loves- but it is HUGE. And for some reason the battery is never charged and we have no piano recital photos. ARGH. Forget video of anything, We have a hi-quality camcorder that no one wants to lug around and of course I never ever transfer to DVD. I am thinking a digital camera with video function would be best. The dollar is pretty string right now so I may actually cross the border and buy across the border at New York Camera Store . My preference is an Olympus or Canon.
Hard to believe but I still am using the Olympus I bought it 1997. It is a 1.3 megapixel and cost about 600.00. At the time NO ONE had a digital camera. I loved. I know every one says it – but I really was one of the first ebay users and at the time not many people used pictures in their ads. There were either no pics or you took a picture and scanned it in. The first ads you saw people had Sony and they looked fantastic. I used to make quite a bit of money on ebay before no one else had ever heard of it. Anyway- I digress- I want to spend about 300 or less and I don’t car to much about mega mega pixels- just would like some video and expandable storage. Any ideas- let me know!
