We won tickets to go to see Journey to The Center of the Earth in 3-d last week. was ton of fun. They had trivia contest at beginning and kids LOVED it. My son was fascinated by the 3d glasses they give you. He also got movie poster and tattoos.
The movie was … okay. Kids enjoyed it. My friend and I had giggled at how cheesy it was and there was some HUGE plot holes and you really did have to work at suspending your disbelief.
My 11 year old liked it quite a bit- largely I think because of cute 13 year old actor from Bridge to Terabithia who is in it.
One part I did like- there was no blood and gore and scary scenes not too scary. It was rated PG but I thin most kids cold handle it. there was a scary scene with Dinosaur at one point but again the scary parts were not over the top and my son ( almost 5) was totally fine. There were no things j8umping out of no where for which i was grateful.
The 3d stuff was okay but not enough to carry whole movie. I found it distracting. Also colours were muddy and not vibrant, this may be because of 3D processing.
It was great getting free movie night out and kids had a blast! So worth the trip to Acton.
