  • Making Christmas Lists and Christmas Cards

    By Lisa - Homeschooling Mom

Making Christmas Lists and Christmas Cards
Today was kind fo a fun day for kids and mom’s at “New Directions” homeschooling learning cooperative.
Kids wrote letters to Santa and that was a blast. I am quite surprised at how far my son’s reading and writing is coming along. he was able to sound out and write quite a few words himself.
Was a short day and we also made Christmas cards using stamps, inks , stickers and ribbon.

Again I am surprised at how much the boys like these hands on crafts. we listened to classical music Christmas carols and the felt teeny bit bad for the wee ones and put on some lighter fare a la Frosty and good ole Bing.

I am really glad that Christmas is round the corner. Just curious about the homeschooling learning cooperative here..is this held regularly in your area where home school kids gather and have fun?

My wife and I have neighbor kids come over to our home for crafts and as you mentioned I am really surprised at how boys take to coloring and creative type crafts that typically you thing only girls would enjoy. Anyway, its a great way to keep kids from tearing the house up.
