    What is Amazon Kindle?

    Kindle: Amazon's New Wireless Reading Device
    Amazon Kindle is an electronic book (e-book) or wireless reading device . It has what is called a paperless screen- the screen is meant to look like paper- a white background with crisp black letters.
    You can download content like entire books, newspapers or blogs without using a computer it uses EVDO technology- the same technology as some newer cell phones

    You download the books through Amazon Whisper - access to Whisper is free.
    The Amazon Kindle was released in November 2007 and was sold out in one day. They have been available again since April 2008 and the price had also dropped.

    The Amazon Kindle is basically a paperless book. You can download a book and read the text on the screen. Each Kindle can hold about 200 books in its memory at once. You get the books from Amazon by downloading.- wirlessly0 you do not need internet access to a computer to download an ebook from Amazon. You can also listen to MP3’s or audio books with the Kindle.
    You can also access Wikipedia at no cost.
    Kindle comes preloaded with Websters Dictionary.
    There is also a web browser you can use to browse internet with Kindle.
