I am still in my Louisa May Alcott’s Little Women obsession that I wrote about a couple of days ago. I have looking at getting our homeschool drama group to put on stage version and trying to hint down a play that is not too long or maybe is sort of modernized version.
I have been looking for some fun idea and lesson plan type stuff to work into our homeschool day if kids want to pursue.
I found some sites with Little woman Lesson plans and study units that are easily adaptable.
This site, http://artsedge.kennedy-center.org/content/2478/ has some great ideas for lesson plans for Little Woman, like creating a “watergraph” (drawing on a Polaroid) of the costume. You could go to thrift shop an pick up a Polaroid camera very cheaply an pack film for this fun project.
I like this one idea of designing a costume for a character based on research and reading of fiction- this would be fun to sew, draw or design on a PC depending your your kids interests.
I LOBE this idea- crating a “diorama” for Little Women of stage set. This would be fun adapted to any book , movie or TV show.
There is trivia site that feature several fun trivia ganes and quizzes for Little Women here.
If you are so inclined- you can read the entire book, Little Women, here. It is text of the book- no fancy drawings, etc, Not sure who in their right mind would want to do this :-). Might be good for quickly scanning and searching tho.
here is a study guide for the 1994 movie version. It is in PDf version adn can print easily. The movie was not my favourite.
If you have other sites that are related to Little woman and homeschoolers may find useful- please let us know! Post in comments section or email me with link,
