The American Dream in Action : Barack Obama Will Be President
By Lisa - Unschooling Mom
Our family we watched Barack Obama’s speech live last night and I had goosebumps the whole time.. not to mention lots of tears :-)
I can imagine this is how many felt when JFK was elected.
For the first time in a long time I really felt something in me I have not felt for a long long time.. HOPE.
Kudos to John MvCain as well for his graceful concession speech- one of the best I have ever heard. Imagine what the reat of the world world see when it hears a speech by a “loser” and sees it can be done without a coup or riots in the street.
Remarkable display of democracy and dare I say it… the American Dream. I am just filled with pride and hope and possibility.
It feels good to look up to United States of America as the leader of the free world again.

It was an incredible night here in Ohio and around the world. Obama’s speech was very inspiring. He is a very “human” leader and I believe that as long as he continues to be connected to people (vs. bogged down by “issues”), he will be a good president.
GOBAMA!! Barack and Roll.

I was most impressed with McCain’s concession speech. He could’ve been a real snob about it but I think he realized that this was history in the making and he was very gracious about it.
